Manawhenua Principles and Processes Document
Kia ora koutou,
Attached is the most recent Manawhenua Principles and Processes document. This process has been designed to allow the allocation of whenua amongst iwi in a manner that is consistent with tikanga maori using principles of tika, pono and aroha. The Hiku Forum have spent many hours perfecting this document and are at present, taking the consultation hui around the Te Hiku rohe for feedback. Also attached is a flowchart diagram which illustrates the process, and options available to all Iwi who choose to participate. Please feel free to have a look over this, and share your feedback with us. We also invite you to attend the Manawhenua hui held in your area, and to bring your feedback to the marae.
